We once again have a look inside the Recoverworld backyard, more specifically at Extrema Global Music. Proving its worldwide nature, Extrema welcomes back Australian Producer and DJ Pinkque. Before we have a look at her newest single, let’s get to know her a little better.
Hailing from Melbourne, Natasha Brekke (aka Pinkque) has always had a passion for music, learning piano and flute at an early age. The productions of Armin van Buuren, Tiesto and Gabriel & Dresden ignited her passion for trance, and led her to eventually pick up DJing. Since then, she’s played alongside The Thrillseekers, Manuel Le Saux, Darren Proter, Aly & Fila, Will Atkinson, and was the headliner for TranceXplosion and Trancegression 2.0 in Prague.
After her debut track Reborn on Extrema in December of 2014, Pinkque secured radio show supports from the likes of Aly & Fila, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Ferry Tayle and more, as well as Beatport chart successes. Now, let’s see what her newest production is all about.
Staying true to its title, the latest from Natasha doesn’t beat around the bush. Right off the bat, the hard edge of The Aggressor hits you right between the eyes, with its oversized kicks and base. Ever more intense in its sound delivery, it goes all out on a mad race towards the breakdown.
Against the eerily mysterious atmosphere of the break, the piano comes to the fore without effort, gliding forward Pinkque’s latest. Right as you get acclimatized, the mammoth synth stabs kick-start the track’s euphoric, Inception-esque build-up.
The powerful build-up matches up to an equally energetic climax, much to everybody’s delight. Tech and Uplifting fuse together to create an absolutely stunning anthem which sends waves of shivers down one’s spine.
Pinkque‘s The Aggressor is out under Extrema Global Music and still exclusive to Beatport until the 16th. Wrap your ears around the sample below and click on the link provided if you wish to purchase it. 🙂
